Master facial proportions and anatomy to create realistic portraits in our Oil Portrait painting Workshop led by award winning artist Barbara Hack . This hands-on workshop is designed to take you through a classically inspired approach to painting the head/portrait from photography references.
All four stages of the painting process will be covered, including underdrawing, with the emphasis on improving color, drawing skills, value relationships, understanding edges, and capturing the feeling of light. Through a series of demonstrations, guided exercises, and one-on-one instruction, attendees will learn how the power of light and shadow add dimension and drama to a portrait. Barbara's intention is to help you better tackle the difficulties of this challenging subject. All levels are welcome.
